Game. Set. Hope. was created out of a personal tragedy. After losing two of my family members to suicide in 2023, I faced a challenging time both personally and academically. Through this trauma, I discovered a purpose and desire to advocate for mental health. Organizing a mental health tournament fundraiser became a way to turn my grief
Game. Set. Hope. was created out of a personal tragedy. After losing two of my family members to suicide in 2023, I faced a challenging time both personally and academically. Through this trauma, I discovered a purpose and desire to advocate for mental health. Organizing a mental health tournament fundraiser became a way to turn my grief into something positive, which I hope will do the same for others facing similar struggles.
Since our first fundraiser on September 9th, 2023, Game. Set. Hope. successfully brought together the community, raised significant funds, and spread awareness about mental health. Nearly $11,000 was raised for the JED Foundation, NAMI, and our mental wellness center at West Ranch High School.
